Projected in a space overlooking the island base of the NATO Naval Headquarters, two figures, one female, one male, stand to attention to the camera. This ‘one-take’ performance to video portrays their facial profiles, bleached as if by sunlight, as they look out beyond the camera frame into the distance. Having not heard this very familiar nationalistic tune for almost sixty years, they sing along, remembering the odd word here and there, able to follow the melody.
